| One of the latest and the most wanted creations from the designer are the Marie Antoinette’s – inspired shoes. It is a limited edition, only 36 pairs of heels were made, and just because they are so special, every pair comes in its own customized box. I’m sure that this limited edition of Christian Louboutin’s Marie Antoinette-inspired shoes, created in conjunction with embroiderer Jean-Francois Lesage of the House of Lesage, are aimed at us mere mortals as the price is $6,295 per pair. Marie Antoinette-inspired heels were designed in three colors - ballerina pink, bright yellow, and blue. You can see them in the pictures. |

| Marie Antoinette was the Queen of France in 1774, well known for her scandalous behavior and her love of luxury. “Let them eat cake!” Marie Antoinette arguably once said. Well, I wonder what Marie would think of these Christian Louboutin heels designed with her in mind? She did lose her head for spending more money on extravagant fashion instead of feeding her starving people, so I guess she would not mind them. |
