Today we will talk about some original, very unusual and without any doubts very odd sandals. You might have seen the photos of these sandals. They have appeared in net some time ago, but it seems to me that they will be the first and the most powerful protagonists of the contest ‘the ugliest shoes of the summer 2010’. The idea of these sandals belongs to the Belgian designer Paul Schietekat. In these shoes the designer wanted to combine and unite the elegance of the high-heeled shoes with the comfort of the fins for divers. The name of the heels is very poetic too. They are called High Tide Heels or Sandals Alta Marea.
To my mind, I don’t expect to see million of girls wearing these sandals while walking the see shore or going out of the water with indifference and elegance. The majority of people just decided to ignore the existence of these sandals. It is quite obvious that we will never see them on sale on the shelves of the seafront shops.
This unity of heels and fins has obviously provoked a huge number of comments and reviews. Some hate this models of shoes, others simply adore, declaring that all who are addicted to the high-heeled shoes will be quite happy by the fact that they will be able to put them on also on beach.
Or may be these sandals are just a cute joke that is made by designer Paul Schietekat for the Fool’s Day on April, 1.
